The Lost Horse Mine Loop Trail a Great Hike

There's lots to see and do on this hike. Instead of going from the parking lot straight up to the mine, we went the long way around. It starts out with a nice, lush valley full of vegetation, then heads up over rocky ground to an overlook of the Pinto Basin and down the other side to the mine area. Unfortunately, the mine area had a burn a couple of years back, so it looks more like a WWI battleground. Probably the best hike for now, would be the long way until you get to the top and then turn around and come back the same way, beautiful views the whole way.
